Elina has been a member of the Finnish Kennel Club since 1954, the year when she also became a founding member of the Finnish Schnauzer and Pinscher Club, serving on its board of directors for nearly 30 years. She was Vice President of the Club for several years and also represented the club at the International Schnauzer-Pinscher Union, ISPU. Elina introduced black Standard Schnauzers into Finland, breeding in Finland under the Rivale prefix and, later, in the Netherlands jointly with her husband under the Hweeko prefix. She has bred several Finnish, Swedish, Nordic, Dutch and international champions and World Winners. She was first approved to judge in 1967 and, since then, has judged in 22 countries and at several FCI World Shows. She is currently approved for breeds in the FCI Groups 1, 2, 5, 8 and 9.
