Iris became involved with dogs in 1968 and has bred and exhibited Dalmatians, English Springer Spaniels and is currently involved in Cairn Terriers and Pointers. Iris, together with her husband, has had great success in exhibiting all of their chosen breeds under Australian and International Judges. Her specialty show appointments have included Dalmatians, English Springer Spaniels, Weimaraners and Samoyeds. She has also judged at English Setter and Clumber Spaniel specialty shows in Canada. Iris gained her All Breeds Licence in 1999 and has judged Australia-wide also in New Zealand, Canada, the Philippine's and South Africa. Iris is a life member of the Dalmatian Club of SA, the All Breeds Dog Club of SA and an examiner in the SA Judges' Training Programme.
