Hassi has been an All Breeds judge since 1975 and is registered in the German judging list. She is a specialist for 63 different breeds and in 1987 she qualified as an all rounder. She started breeding Basset Hounds about 35 years ago, and her bitch was the first Basset Hound of all FCI countries to achieve the title of "Champion International de Beaute". Her first male Basset Hound won 13 Champion titles and was awarded three working certificates. In 1985 her husband surprised her with a Dobermann as a birthday gift. This dog, "Graf Guido vom Franckenhorst" bred in the Netherlands held 20 Champion titles from almost all parts of the world with the result of more than 1,600 puppies. She lived in South Africa for five years, but after the death of her husband, Hassi moved back to Germany in 2003. Hassi is fluent in English, German, Spanish & French. She has judged all over the world - Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, USA and Zimbabwe.
