Megan's involvement in the sport of showing and breeding started in 1974 with the purchase of a show Cocker Spaniel. Since that time she has studied the breed by attending courses in genetics, conformation and breed management. Her thirst for knowledge led her to studying and attaining her Gundog License in 1994, then her Working Dog, Hound, Toy, Non Sporting, Terrier and Utility Licenses. Megan is now an International All Breeds Judge. Since gaining her first license Megan has judged in all states of Australia and New Zealand. She has also been privileged to judge the following specialty shows - Hungarian Vizsla Specialty, Pekingese Specialty, Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty, Dachshund Specialty, Border Terrier Specialty, Dalmatian Specialty, American Cocker Spaniel Specialty, Boxer Specialty shows. She has also judged numerous Gundog, Toy, Hound and Non Sporting Group Specialty Shows. Her interest in the canine world has led to her holding positions on committee of the Cocker Spaniel Club of the ACT, ACT Gundog Society, Hound Club of the ACT and Norwegian Elkhound Club of Australia. Megan's Cocker Spaniels are consistent winners at breed level as well as taking Group and Show wins. The Cockers have gained their Championship status and she campaigned Grand CH Kenbey Play Boy to multi Best in Show awards and Grand Champion status. The Elkhounds are her husband, Gabor's passion, and they have been consistently top performing dogs for him. Grand Champion Graabine Padaarsen holds the record for the top winning Australian Elkhound having won 10 Best In Show and 40 Best in Group awards.
