David judges most breeds in the UK at Open Shows and is passed for tickets in the following breeds: Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Belgian Shepherd Dogs (Tervueren, Groenendael, Malinois and Laekenois), Border Collies, Tibetan Spaniels, Dobermans, Tibetan Terriers, Lhasa Apsos, Basenjis, Leonbergers, Finnish Spitz, German Spitz Mittel, German Spitz Klein, Japanese Spitz, Keeshonds, Norwegian Buhunds, Rottweilers, Samoyeds, Schipperkes, Siberian Huskies, Shar Pei, Swedish Vallhunds, Shiba Inu, Lancashire Heelers. David is approved to judge BIS and the Utility, Working and Pastoral Groups in the UK and FCI Groups 1 & 5. David has judged in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Africa, Bermuda, Zimbawe, France, Norway, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Malta, Luxembourg, Belgium, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Finland, and is an accredited Kennel Club trainer. David, with wife Angela, owns the U.K.'s most successful breeding prefix Toveri (Finnish Spitz), having bred or owned over 70 Champions although only breeding one or two litters each year. Since the competition for 'top breeder' was launched in 1981 the Cavill's have been the top breeders of all breeds every year but five - and have always been included in the top four.
