Tempest and her husband Russel (Sandy) both started exhibiting dogs in the 1970's, showing Standard Poodles, Miniature Poodles, Whippets, Manchesters, and Afghan Hounds. In 1987 they got married. For over 20 years they have bred and shown Standard Poodles under the prefix Diplomat. As breederownerhandlers they finished multiple American Canadian Champions, as well as achieved many Best in Show and Group wins. They have also bred and exhibited pure bred Hereford cattle.

Russel is CKC licensed for Group 2, 5 and half of 4
Tempest is CKC licensed for Group 1, 6 and half of 3
