Maja has always loved animals, especially dogs. She got more seriously involved with the dog world when she and her husband started showing and breeding in the early nineties. Dogs owned or bred by them have achieved more than 90 various championships. Maja breeds Tibetan Spaniels under Moetica affix and her new breed is the Coton de Tulear. She was breeding Bearded Collies in the past. She has been working in show committees of international and national shows for a number of years. Maja judges FCI groups 3 and 9 and Samoyeds, and is a member of the Breeding Commission for Spitz and Primitive types of Group 5. She was awarded with Silver and Golden Order by Slovenian Kennel Club.
