John has been judging dogs for 25 years and has judged throughout New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Philippines and Thailand. He started showing with Cockers Spaniels as a young school boy and up until about 10 years ago was actively involved in the breed. He bred many top winners in this time that were consistently top in their breed, winning both Specialty and All Breeds BIS wins. When John met his wife Yvonne nearly 24 years ago he became very involved in the breeding and showing of their Miniature and Standard Poodles. Their dogs have been the Top Dog All Breeds in New Zealand so many times in the last 20 years. There are "Kateisha" champions in New Zealand, Australia , Sweden, Norway, Finland, Holland, Germany, USA, Canada, Thailand and Hong Kong.
