Maribel had been involved in breeding and showing dogs for the past 24 years and she's the owner of SUNNYSIDE kennel. She is the owner-handler of the top dog for 1995, Phil GrandCan. Champ Symarun Ultimate Fantasy and had won BOS at the 1993 Canadian National Specialty Show and at Canadian Sweepstakes Show. She also owned and handled the 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986 Toy Shih Tzu Phil GrandAm Champ Louwan Gunning Tootsie Pop, the 2000 Top Shih Tzu, Phil HOFGrandCan Champ Tzuvilla Hi D'Ho Neighbour "Wilson". Maribel also bred the 2000 Top Shih Tzu in Indonesia BIS Phil GrandInd Champ Sunnyside Change in Time. Sunnyside kennel had been involved in breeding German Shepherd, Dobermann, Dachshund (Standard) and Pekingese. Maribel is qualified to judge Hounds, Non-Sporting, Sporting, Terriers, Toys, Working, Shih Tzu, Cocker Spaniel (American). She has judged Specialty Shows for American Cocker Spaniels, Beagle, Chihuahua, Lhasa Apso, Miniature Pinscher, Non Sporting Group, Non-Sporting, Pekingese, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, Siberian Husky, Sporting Group Specialties, Terriers, Toys, Working Dog Show.
