BROWN, Ms Erin G Queensland,
Erin has been judging at Championship level since 1989. She has judged extensively in Australia and New Zealand, and also judged in Japan and currently has contracts to judge in Korea ,Finland and South Africa. She started exhibiting show dogs in the early sixties and registered the Quanmarra prefix in 1971, just prior to importing her foundation Salukis from Daxlore Kennels in the UK. She has also shown and bred Papillons and Dachshunds, however Salukis have remained as her abiding passion. Over the years she has owned and bred a number of multiple Best in Show winning Saluki's. The number one Saluki in Australia for 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2005 is from her lines and this dog also won Queensland Dog of the Year competition in 2004. She now co-owns his son with Ian Rasmussen and this young dog is making his presence felt in the Australian dog world. While she loves the elegance and ethereal look of Salukis, she does have a very strong belief that all dogs should be able to do the task they were developed for, so she looks for structural soundness as well as type. Erin is also licensed as an All Breed Cat judge with CCC of A. Over the years, Erin has been involved in a number of clubs in Queensland for both dogs and cats but find that time restraints now limit her involvement. When not at shows, she can be found at Paws and Whiskers, one of the largest and most prestigious boarding kennel complexes in Queensland, Australia.
