Jurate is one of the founding members of the Lithuanian Cynological Society (LKDFCI). She is the former President of the Lithuanian Terrier Club and is a member of the Judges Committee. Jurate has been breeding and showing dogs for nearly 30 years. She has had German Boxers, Saluki's and Wire Fox Terrier's. She started breeding Scottish Terriers in 1999 under FCI prefix TIKRAS BILDUKAS. Jurate has judged in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
