Rose-Marie has been involved in dogs since 1954 when she first started showing her mother�s Bulldog. In 1969 she started showing and breeding Labrador Retrievers under the "Sleepy Hollow" prefix. Her involvement with other breeds include Whippets and Greyhounds in partnership with J. Duthie, under the Whirlwind prefix. In addition to showing and breeding dogs, Rose-Marie has been very active in the administrative side of the dog world and was the first lady to be appointed to serve on the Federal Council of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa � a position she held for many years. Her judging assignments have taken her to many parts of the world, Brazil, Finland, Ireland, England, Norway and Australia, to name just a few. She started judging the Gundog Group in 1967 and became an All Breeds judge in 1984.
