CARROLL, Mrs Dorothea
Dorothea is an International Dog Show Judge. She was born in the UK in 1959, but lived most of her life in Ireland. Dorothea has been involved in the world of dogs for over 30 years and has been involved in breeding and handling over a hundred and fifty Champions over the years. Her roots were in Working and Gundogs, i.e. GSD, Am. Cockers, Irish Water Spaniel and German Shorthaired Pointers. Later she progressedd into Terriers and Toys, namely Bull Terriers, Irish Terriers, Chinese Crested & Lowchen. She has handled dogs to their Championships across ALL of the Groups and throughout Europe. Dorothea was a Founder Member of the Schnauzer Club of Ireland, a Committee member and Chief Steward for the Ladies Kennel Association, Show Secretary for the Siberian Husky Club of Ireland and the Shar Pei Club of Ireland, and Secretary of the American Cocker Spaniel Club of Ireland. Dorothea has judged extensively in Ireland and the UK, and has had overseas appointments in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Italy, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Slovakia, Cyprus, Russia and France. She is currently booked to judge a number of breeds at the World Dog Show in Austria in 2012. She judges Groups 2, 4, 7, 8. She also judges breeds across All the Groups.
