FAIRHALL, Lesley Victoria,
Born in England, Lesley grew up in a household that always had dogs, predominantly pure-bred, including a Great Dane, Golden Retriever, Labrador and both English and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. She spent her teenage years in Zimbabwe, where she developed an appreciation for the multi-talented Rhodesian Ridgeback, and acquired her first show bitch in 1983 after emigrating to Australia. Lesley bred her first litter in 1985 under the Mzilakazi prefix, and since then, although breeding sparingly, has been lucky enough to campaign a home-grown Specialty Best in Show, Specialty Runner Up in Show (the same year), and an All-Breeds Best in Show winner (also a Grand Champion), along with 10 conformation champions. The latest addition to her family is a Whippet, and she looks forward to learning more about this sweet-natured and energetic breed ? as she runs rings around the RRs! Lesley has been involved in Club administration for over 26 years, including many years on the Committee of the RR Club of Victoria, and more recently as President, Show Secretary and general Committee member (over a period of 10 years) for an All Breeds Kennel Club in country Victoria, conducting 3 championship shows each year. In 2009 Lesley entered the judges training program, qualified to judge all Hounds at Championship Show level in 2011, and am now studying towards her Gun Dog license. In 2009 she judged Rhodesian Ridgebacks in the UK at All Breeds Open Show level, and since then have also judged the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Victoria?s 2011 Open Show.
