Leif Ragnar is a PsychiatristM.D. In 1961 he got his first dog, a Boxer, and bred one litter. Later he got a pet Irish Setter. He and his partner Steinar bought their first OES in 1978, and got their Puli in 1984. Leif Ragnar soon got to work with dog clubs, handling, training and breeders council. He became Chairman of: BSBK (All Breeds Club), The Norwegian OES Club, and at present he is Chairman of the Club for the Hungarian Breeds of Norway. Since 2001 he has been elected a committee member working with The Norwegian Kennel Club Judges Education Program. He judged his first Open Show in 1983 and was first authorized by FCI in 1990. Leif Ragnar is an authorized FCI judge for: All breeds in the Groups: 1, 2, 4 and 9 and some breeds in the Groups: 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. In 2004 he was invited by the NKK to become an All Breeds judge, hoping to get his final exams before 2009. The highlight in his career as an authorized judge was judging Pulis at Crufts in 1998. Fluent in English, French and German, he has judged in Belgium, England, Greece, Israel, Nederland, Portugal, Scandinavia, and Germany.
