Markuu has been showing since 1980 and has owned and bred German Shepherd Dogs, Great Danes, Yorkshire Terriers, Bulldogs, Australian Silky Terriers and together with his wife also Chinese Crested Dogs, Jack Russell Terriers, Saluki's, West Highland White Terriers and Irish Wolfhounds. Fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English, he has judged in Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden and throughout Finland.
