Dick has owned and exhibited Irish Wolfhounds, Afghans, Jack Russell Terriers, Bedlington Terriers and Whippets since 1967, and bred Irish Wolfhounds and Afghans. He judged his first Irish Kennel Club show in 1972. He is approved to judge FCI Groups 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 10. His judging has taken him to countries such as Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Lithuania, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Japan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Finland.
