Graeme has been involved with dogs since 1959, and has successfully shown and bred Boxers, Dobermans, and Miniature Poodles, producing over 100 Australian Champions, 5 International Champions, and many top producers. He gained his ALL BREEDS License in 1972, and was a Committee member of the Kennel Control Council of Victoria and the Victorian Canine Association, of which he is a Life Member. He has also been Ring Steward at the Melbourne Royal Show since 1973. He has judged at the Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Bathurst Royal Shows. Graeme has judged at various Specialist and All Breed Shows throughout the world since 1972 including the United Kingdom, USA, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, Thailand, and the Philippines to name a few. He judged at The World Show in 1998 in Helsinki (Sweden) ,judging every day as well as the Final of the the Child Handlers at General Specials. In conjunction with his wife, Jean, during the last 4 decades under the "Westpriors" prefix their dogs have been successful at the highest level being Australia's #1 All -Breeds in 1989, BIS at the 1989 Melbourne Royal Show (over 7,000 entries), BIS 2 at the 1989 Sydney Royal Show and BIS 2 at the Melbourne Royal 1995.
