Chris has stewarded at General, Group and Breed Championship Shows, and has acted as Show Manager at Breed Club Championship and Open Shows. He personally organised all breed and group Open Shows; Breed Club Championship and Open Shows; Working tests and the European Spaniel Congress in 1993. Since 1997 he has organised the National Gundog Association Championship Shows with the support of a good team and also the Judges Development Seminars. He has judged the Gundog group at championship shows and ten breeds at CC level, English Setters, Gordon Setters, Irish Red & White Setters, Italian Spinone, Curly Coated Retriever, German Wire Haired Pointer, Sussex Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels & Irish Water Spaniels. He has two questionnaires at the Kennel Club at this time waiting to be passed for English Springer Spaniels and American Cocker Spaniels. Founder member of the Midland English Setter Society and the Irish Red and White Setter Club of Great Britain. Started Showing English Setters in 1974, since then has shown a Pointer, Italian Spinoni, Sealyham Terrier, Sussex Spaniels and now currently shows Hungarian Vizslas. Six Champions ownedbred at home or abroad. Top Winning English Setter bitch in 1979. Sussex Spaniel Breed Record holder. Award CC's in ten breeds. Has judged the gundog group at championship shows most years since 1996. Has judged in Holland, Belgium, Finland and South Africa (twice). Compiled two Champions books for Sussex Spaniels. Current President of the United Spaniel Association. Current Secretary of the National Gundog Association. Current Secretary of the Sussex Spaniel Association
