Wayne's involvement with showing and breeding dogs commenced in 1969 thanks to a birthday present. Although my first breed was Golden Retrievers, I soon developed a strong interest towards Terriers, in particular Kerry Blue Terriers. In 1975 I purchased my first Kerry Blue Terrier, whilst being only a pet, it certainly stimulated my ever increasing attraction towards the Kerry Blue breed and Terriers in general. Under the Dallaroo kennel prefix I have bred over 100 Kerry Blue Terrier Champions which can be found in all four corners of the world. Dallaroo kennels produced a number of notable show Champions, including Australia’s first & second Grand Champion Terriers which were Kerry Blue Terriers. Over the years I have also bred and shown various other breeds to their Australian Championship e.g. Keeshonden, Lhasa Apso’s & Dobermanns.

I have also been actively involved with show handling to the following Terrier breeds: Airedale Terrier, American Staffordshire Terriers, Fox Terrier (Smooth & Wire), Lakeland Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, I continue to maintain a keen interest in all these breeds.
I have also remained actively involved in the Non Sporting Group, having enjoyed handling Dalmatians along with Toy & Standard Poodles. I have had a very long-term interest in many other breeds such as the French Bulldog, German Spitz (handled the first 3 imported into Australia) also Affenpincher & Italian Greyhound breeds. I have long term involvement with Dachshund’s Standard & Mini & have also handled to many BIS wins Afghan Hounds Basenji’s & Whippets.
Currently I hold executive positions on several Terrier Specialty Clubs including the Airedale Terrier Association of New South Wales. British Terrier Club New South Wales I’m an active committee member of the Dogs NSW (Royal New South Wales Canine Council) Public Relations Events Committee.
I am currently licensed to judge all Terriers, Hounds, Non Sporting & Group Specials. Since commencing my judging career in 2003 I have judged at both specialty and all breeds shows within Australia across 6 States and Territories (New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania) as well internationally in Russia, Italy and South Africa, and Canada
